Just thought I'd give an update on where things stand with us right now:
-Today is the first official day of my FUNemployment. While my last day in the office was last Friday, my contractual unemployment begins today. Thank goodness we're looking to move & set up a new house, otherwise I have no idea what I'd do with myself.
- Total tangent but after a measly 2hrs I can tell you that morning television SUCKS. Seriously? Whhhhy is Kathie Lee still on TV? Can I ask? So unnecessary. Also, I can't tell if I like Kelly Ripa or not.
- And finally for some good news: We're still on schedule to close on our house this week!! Our estimated closing date was supposed to be Halloween - we got hung up with some paperwork but now we're on target to close this Thursday. We got the all clear yesterday around 4:30p. We actually could've closed tomorrow but the Hubster has to go to Queens court to fight a ticket from a year ago. Since he's already pushed the court date back the maximum amount of times he couldn't change it again, we just moved the closing back a day. Ironically, November 3rd is also a cousin's due date so either way it's set to be an epic day for our family.
And since we're getting so close, I figured I'd give you a little sneak peek at our new house. We obviously have plans for some serious curb appeal but that might have to wait till spring since we had a snowstorm this weekend! Here's what it looks like right now though.
I can't wait till Thursday now!! :)

ReplyDeleteIt already has serious curb appeal! That house is ADORABLE! I want to know EVERYTHING about it. I need a photo tour, maybe one of those video tours where you awkwardly walk through while talking about your dreams for a nursery. And I can't even SEE a neighbor's house. Are you moving to Montana? So much land in such a big city, ah so happy for you!

Super cute! It's adorable! I can't wait for you get this closed and finalized and yours! And I am going to need photos, of course. Take your time moving in and enjoy every second of you FUNemployment. You've got the rest of your life to work, enjoy the break! You'll be back at it before you know it! I have faith, girlfriend.

ReplyDeleteIm so sorry to hear about the job, I had no idea. That really is a terrible situation, esp when trying to buy a new home. But Im glad that you guys are still able to close on the new house.
